About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for electrical and mechanical fabrication, reading electrical and mechanical prints, and setting up precision instruments. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment using a systematic diagnostic approach, as well as performing preventative maintenance. The technician will install and repair electrical systems and components on industrial process machinery and equipment, diagnose malfunctioning equipment, and replace faulty electrical components. Additionally, the technician will repair and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, inspect and measure parts, align and adjust components, and test all repairs and installations. All work completed must be recorded in the company asset tracking software, and issues, parts used, and restocking needs must be communicated to the Maintenance Supervisor. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment using a systematic diagnostic approach
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Install and repair electrical systems, electric apparatus and components on industrial process machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors, rectifiers, instrumentation, wiring, and lighting fixtures
  • Replace damaged or broken wires and cables
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices
  • Repair and maintain mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components
  • Repair/replace damaged air, chemical, water and hydraulic pipes on machine
  • Measure, cut, thread and install new pipe
  • Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems, replace as needed
  • Align and adjust components on machines to improve or correct machine functionality and part quality
  • Test all repairs and installations for correct functionality and proper performance
  • Record all work completed in the company asset tracking software
  • Communicate issues, parts used and need to restock components to Maintenance Supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
