Future Opening Opportunity - Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform skilled repairs to the building and equipment and maintain the best possible conditions while minimizing inconvenience to guests. You’ll respond quickly to maintenance requests and perform preventive repairs to help create a seamless guest experience free from disruptions. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience performing general handyman work (basic carpentry, minor electrical/HVAC/plumbing, painting, furniture repair, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical & HVAC work, and general troubleshooting skills.
Nice To Haves
- Trade School and/or College coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Make repairs and maintain resort and condominium rooms to include but not limited to: programming televisions, replacing light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures, furniture repair, minor plumbing repairs (clogged drains, copper pipe, change washers, change handles, drain fittings, etc.), repair water lines, test-clean-repair swimming pools and spas, paint designated areas, repair and finish sheet rock, repair all types of wall coverings, and repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the manufacturer’s preventative maintenance programs.
