About The Position
Big White Ski Resort is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time seasonal role. This position is responsible for addressing maintenance concerns reported by Housekeeping, Owner Relations, and the Front Desks. The technician will resolve these requests professionally, maintaining a courteous demeanor with guests and representing Big White Central Reservations at a high standard. The role offers an opportunity to live, work, and explore in a unique mountain resort environment, known as Canada's Favorite Family Resort.
Requirements
- Trade qualification required (Plumber, Carpenter, Electrician)
- Reliable and responsible
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Proven self-motivation, ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
- Must have a high level of attention to detail
- Good Personal Grooming
- Must have full-privileged BC driving license (no L’s, N’s or P’s) or be willing to obtain one with our guidance
- Must have had a driving license for 3 years with a clean driving record
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice To Haves
- Previous maintenance experience is an asset
Responsibilities
- Attend to maintenance requests, including but not limited to: locating and repairing plumbing leaks, troubleshooting electrical problems, repairing door lock mechanisms, repairing damage to units and unit’s contents, painting/staining and general maintenance.
- Ensure company vehicles are driven in a responsible manner and are maintained and serviced when required.
- Comply with all established department and company policies, procedures and code of ethics.
- Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service levels at all times.
- Fulfill tasks in a time sensitive manner.
- Follow all Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
- Any other request made by a Central Reservations Manager.
