About The Position

This role involves electrical/mechanical troubleshooting of primary production plant and supply facilities, including equipment troubleshooting and general maintenance. The technician will support SONAC quality standards through installation, upgrade, and maintenance. Traveling will be a requirement to fulfill these job responsibilities and overall company goals and objectives. Duties are to be completed at Sonac sites as well as at Sonac suppliers' sites. The technician will locate the source of problems by observing mechanical devices, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. They will fabricate repair parts using maintenance shop machinery and equipment, and read/interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems and components, ensuring preventive maintenance requirements are met, and assisting in the development and improvement of preventive maintenance instructions. The role requires maintaining a safe and clean working environment, complying with all safety and manufacturing regulations, and properly completing maintenance records such as Work Orders, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Entry Permits, Clean Tags, High Care Intervention forms, Parts order Log, and Inventory use sheets. Computerized records will be used to document maintenance activities. The technician will assist in maintaining adequate spare equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, and reporting shortages. On-call duties on a rotating basis are required for maintenance coverage outside of normal work hours. Travel to supply sites is necessary for maintenance, training, and troubleshooting of collection systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum two to three years related experience, OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in high stress environment.
  • Must be able to travel regionally (~25%-50%) for overnight stays.
  • Must maintain valid travel documents such as a driver's license.
