Maintenance Technician (Live-Onsite)
About The Position
Fairgrove Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly customer-focused, technically skilled, fast-moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties and requires the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems and components. The role involves direct interaction with residents, vendors, and suppliers, emphasizing exceptional customer service and timely completion of service requests and make-ready tasks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field, with customer service experience.
- Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software and applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Great communication skills.
- Organized and able to manage work orders for multiple priorities.
- Honest, Trustworthy & Accountable.
- Clean driving record with valid driver’s license.
- Dependable transportation.
- Provide own tools to complete work orders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee 2 buildings, one with 49 units and another with 37 units, totaling 86 units.
- Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on the properties or within the units.
- Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, door hardware, windows, window screens, and other general building items.
- Maintain accurate records of daily maintenance and action items.
- Interact with vendors and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the team and residents.
- Support Fairgrove Property Management's mission and values.
- Communicate in a timely and effective manner.
- Complete emergency and routine service requests.
- Perform turnover make-ready tasks and assist in the preparation of vacant units for new move-ins.
- Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash as needed.
- Utilize computer, tablet, and smartphone software and applications.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
- Provide after-hours emergency response as needed.
