About The Position

CLV Group is seeking a Live-In Property Maintenance Technician for Avalon Park, a large residential community in Ottawa. This hands-on role involves supporting daily maintenance operations to ensure shared spaces are well-maintained and welcoming for over 800 residents. The position is ideal for a dependable individual who takes pride in their work and contributes to a community environment. Requirements

1+ years of experience in property maintenance, building operations, or facilities support role.
Must have basic tools necessary to complete work.
General understanding of residential building systems (e.g., kitchen & bathroom fixtures, doors, appliances, lighting).
Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
Physically capable of performing routine manual tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and extended periods of walking.
Functional English verbal communication skills.
Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.
Lives close enough to Avalon to respond quickly to emergency resident inquiries (within about 10–15 minutes).

Responsibilities

Responding to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
Performing general maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, suites, and common areas.
Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities, fixtures, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
Assist with seasonal property operations, including landscaping and snow removal.
Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
Work collaboratively with site staff, management, and external vendors as required.
Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and report safety hazards to management.
