We are looking for a Maintenance Technicians who will be valuable to address when a machine breaks that is critical to the success of a program, Maintenance Technicians come and save the day. Working alongside Maintenance and Production Supervisors, they ensure that a product can be completed that will meet a customer’s standards. In this role you will under direction of Leader/Supervisor follow specific instructions and standard trade practices to obtain tools, material and equipment for carrying out work assignments on electro-mechanical systems, control devices and related equipment This position will be required to work onsite at our Goodrich Boulevard as well as Busch Drive facilities in Jacksonville, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in Industrial Electrical Trade, building maintenance technology or relevant field
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)

Responsibilities

  • Perform component installation, system maintenance and repair work as assigned and carry out preventive maintenance and service as required
  • Assist others responsible for complex installation, overhaul and repair projects in preparing materials and operating equipment
  • Perform similar duties throughout the facility
  • Assist others working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills
  • Daily work area clean up
  • Prompt reporting of malfunctioning equipment and machines
  • Working within EH&S guidelines as defined by UTC and OSHA
  • Training, obtaining, and maintaining licenses, operator permits, and certifications (as necessary)
  • Participation in Company and Department sponsored EH&S and Quality initiatives
  • Other duties as required
