Join our team as a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician (Monday-Friday 9:00pm-5:30am with rotating Saturdays) team, however, the candidate must be able to work on 1st shift (Monday-Friday 4:30am-1:00pm with rotating Saturdays) for the first 30 days for training purposes. In this role you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. This position has an hourly rate ranging from $30.00 - $33.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked after 1st shift. The compensation is negotiable based upon a candidate’s experience and skill set.

Requirements

2 or more years’ mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment (food industry is highly preferred)
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment
Excellent Interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Time Management and Organization; Ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities
Experience with troubleshooting bottling, filling equipment and gantry palletizers
Experience with using CMMS and documenting emergency and planned work and good communication skills
Experience with general shop tools and fabrication including use of grinders, saws, presses, lathes and mills

Responsibilities

Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision
Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving
Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner
Perform general electrical repairs including wire connections, relays, photo-eyes, solenoids, working with 120v-480v, diagnose and wire up motors and troubleshoot variable speed drives. Must be able to properly use multimeter and read schematics
Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections
Modify, repair, install and troubleshoot various conveyor systems including but not limited to roller, belt, intralox, gravity, chain plate types
Diagnose, rebuild, troubleshoot and replace various pump types
Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments
Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment
Frequently modify packaging & process equipment for new products
Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems.
Lifting, twisting, carrying up to 45 lbs. is a requirement of the position
Working in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments
Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location
Be able to wear full face respirator as necessary
Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations
