About The Position

Stabilus is a global leader in motion control solutions - gas springs, dampers, and electromechanical drives - with 8,000+ employees across 45 locations worldwide. Our products can be used in a wide variety of industries, such as the automotive and office chair manufacturing industries, furniture technology, solar industry, medical technology, and many other industrial applications. This position will be located in our U.S. Headquarters in Gastonia, NC. Currently, we have an opening available on our 3rd shift, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Sunday - Thursday. Training will take place on a day shift. There is a shift premium for working on the 3rd shift. Applicants should have some flexibility to accommodate changes in the schedule based on company needs. Keep our highly automated Gas Spring production facility running at peak performance. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or military equivalent — OR minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in electronics, mechanical, or military fields
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics; proficient with measuring tools (voltmeter, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
  • Working knowledge of SAP-PM and Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead others when needed
  • Flexible to accommodate schedule changes based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns quickly and efficiently
  • Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs
  • Execute and support preventative maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues across hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems
  • Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics
  • Log all maintenance and repair activity in SAP-PM
  • Communicate equipment status clearly to production supervision
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including leak detection, safety items, and 5S
  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and electrical codes
