About The Position

National Vision is hiring Maintenance Technicians for its growing optical manufacturing facility. The role services and maintains equipment in the optical lab, helping resolve machine issues and minimize production downtime. Work includes preventative maintenance, equipment checks and calibration, cleaning and parts replacement, repairs, and assisting with installations and fabrication.

Full-time second-shift positions follow a three-day workweek, with four days off. Core hours are 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Schedules may vary slightly, with days and hours discussed with the candidate. Shift assignments are Sundays through Tuesdays or Wednesdays through Fridays. Compensation includes competitive base pay based on experience, a 10% shift differential, and biweekly bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of previous experience in industrial maintenance, diagnosis, and repair, including electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo drive, or HVAC systems.
• Manufacturing experience is desired.
• Optical industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain PM checklists.
• Handle work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production downtime.
• Service and maintain edgers, generators, and blockers.
• Clean equipment, change parts, perform checks, and calibrate equipment.
• Identify issues and perform repairs.
• Assist with installations, fabrication, and servicing other equipment and systems in the lab.
• Follow safety measures and lockout/tagout procedures, and use personal protective equipment when required.
