About The Position

Under the supervision of the Plant General Manager, the Maintenance Technician will work to preserve the condition and operational readiness of our facility in Kansas City, MO. This role involves conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment. It is a physically active position requiring the ability to maneuver around heavy equipment, including bending, climbing, crawling, and manual dexterity, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing approximately 40 pounds.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
2+ years in maintenance related field
Must pass physical, drug test and background check
Understanding of safety, lockout/tagout, and compliance protocols
Ability to communicate fluently in English

Nice To Haves

Certification or license in boiler, welding or electrical field
Associate Degree from a two-year college or technical school in related field
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and OSHA training
A strong knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors, HVAC, roofing and other related items around the location
Conduct diagnostic assessments, schedule and perform repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment
Perform tasks for the upkeep of buildings and grounds
Utilize carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills for minor repairs
Perform preventive maintenance of pumps and motors
Read manuals to assist in repairs
Maintain a clean and pristine work area
Develop preventative maintenance procedures, document completed work orders and perform other assignments to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
