About The Position

Associa is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to help maintain the upkeep and functionality of managed residential properties in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The role supports a safe, well-maintained living environment for residents and contributes to the quality of life in the community and the value of its properties. The technician assists the lead Maintenance Technician with daily duties, handles resident service requests, performs preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment, and troubleshoots and repairs plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues. The role also includes maintaining grounds, common areas, pools, and building appearance, while following safety standards and company policies. This is a full-time position with an alternating schedule: one week Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; the following week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hourly pay is $18.00–$22.00, according to experience.

Requirements

Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and clients.
At least 2 years of directly related or closely related experience.
Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate, climb, and perform work on ladders 1–2 stories high (24–28 feet).
