About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will partner with operations to support equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance tasks during production downtime to ensure optimal equipment performance. The technician will utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, diagnose issues, determine root causes, and implement effective repairs or part replacements. A key aspect of this role is to minimize equipment-related production downtime through proactive and responsive maintenance, including responding promptly to production line calls and performing emergency repairs during operational hours. The technician will interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and assist with general facility maintenance. They will also identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations, while adhering to all company policies, safety regulations, GMPs, and standard operating procedures. The role requires the use of appropriate tools and equipment, maintaining a clean work environment, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing.
  • Proven experience in repairing heavy industrial equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Experience in food processing is preferred.

  • Use appropriate hand and power tools, diagnostic meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
