As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible and accountable for safely installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the facility, its machinery and equipment by using a variety of materials and techniques to make alterations, installations, and repairs. You will have the opportunity to: Approach all maintenance tasks with safety as the number one priority. Perform general maintenance and repair of machinery and vehicles and their mechanical, electrical and fluid power systems. Recognize operational irregularities of equipment or processes, accurately determines the cause and takes appropriate corrective actions. Keep building structure and systems (lighting, water, HVAC, air make-up units, baghouses, sanitary) in good operational condition by repairing or replacing electrical switches, fixtures, motors, and plumbing fixtures. Weld and fabricate metals (sheet, tube, plate, etc.). Move, lift, and rig of equipment and the plant’s products. Be responsible for troubleshooting and minor repair of electric induction melting furnace components. Work from a variety of sketches, manuals, drawings, blueprints and procedures, when available, and recommends building, equipment, or machinery alterations to Maintenance Manager. Respond to plant emergencies such as power outages and equipment failure and takes appropriate action to ensure minimal production downtime. Follow all safety procedures and wears required personal protection equipment. Share on-call responsibilities to support off-shift and weekend maintenance needs at the plant. Complete other duties as assigned.
