About The Position

The BioSpectra Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive machine service to ensure continuous operations.

Requirements

  • One year of related mechanical or building experience
  • Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to work with various tools and machines
  • Good math skills for measuring and cutting
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, stoop, crawl, climb, and twist throughout the shift
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to learn cGMP and Safety programs.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all production processes and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and support equipment.
  • Conduct emergency and unscheduled repairs during production to minimize downtime.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance repairs during planned machine service periods.
  • Install new process equipment and assist with equipment upgrades or modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production machinery.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation, equipment manuals, and work orders to complete repairs accurately.
  • Perform assigned maintenance work orders within required timeframes.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in applicable logs or CMMS systems.
  • Communicate equipment status, recurring issues, and repair needs to supervisors or production teams.
  • Comply with all OSHA safety and health regulations and company safety policies.
  • Follow lockout/tagout, confined space, and other safety protocols as required.
  • Ensure waste generated during maintenance activities is handled, stored, and disposed of in compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment required for maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices within maintenance areas and production environments.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and workspaces are kept organized and serviceable.
  • Support production operations by responding promptly to equipment issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational needs.
