About The Position
JAC Products is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Saline, MI on 3rd shift. As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of equipment in our manufacturing facility.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years in industrial maintenance.
- Advanced understanding of machine and equipment PLCs.
- Ability to use various types of tools including volt-meter and equipment necessary (manual, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic).
- Effective communication and problem solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- 4 year technical degree, Journey Worker Certification, or 9 years of job-related experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining, setting up, and operating production equipment including the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment failures.
- Fabricating using MIG welder, TIG welder, vertical/horizontal band saws, bridge port mill and lathe.
- Updating and completing preventative and non-preventative work orders.
- Perform fabrication of parts/equipment.
- Respond to service calls to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machine problems and determine proper corrective action.
- Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) - knowledge of Allen Bradley preferred.
- Maintain parts inventory for common replaceable items and daily recordkeeping within JAC Products computer maintenance management software (CMMS).
