About The Position

Supports the organization by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on production and facilities/auxiliary equipment at the Rochester facilities. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing production-related equipment, as well as maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems. The technician will be responsible for specific machine banks, adhering to safety protocols, and potentially training others or leading repair teams. Occasional travel to other facilities may be required.

Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years experience with plastic injection, plant automation/robotics and auxiliary equipment.
Minimum of two (2) years experience with plastic injection and auxiliary equipment in a clean room environment.
Use and understanding of electrical testing equipment for troubleshooting.
Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics/prints.
Experience with 24VDC, 208 Single and three phase, 480 VAC.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Open to working a flexible schedule.
Must possess a valid drivers license.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.
Trade School, Apprenticeship, Technical Associates Degree or Work-Related Experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, service and repair of all production related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and facilities.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical issues, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, heat exchangers, central chillers, and central water reclaim systems, manufacturing automation systems, and multi axis robotics.
Think critically and perform repairs in a timely manner.
Recognize and recommend improvements to machine and/or cell layouts.
Perform Barrel/Screw/Check Ring maintenance and Measurements.
Individually responsible for a bank of molding machines and robotics which are audited daily.
Adhere to all safety rules and always wear proper PPE.
May be responsible for training others or leading a team to perform a repair.
May be required to service Pixley Road and Buffalo Road facilities as needed, using own vehicle.
