This description summarizes the requirements of a Maintenance Technician. Perform routine work in repair and maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment.

Requirements

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
Basic math and communication skills required.
4-6 years of experience in an industrial setting.
Electrical/Electronic background preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure work areas are clean.
Addresses maintenance related incidents (e.g. spills).
Troubleshoots and addresses basic repairs and maintenance including electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
Maintain and perform maintenance of building and grounds.
As needed order supplies, and equipment.
Estimates repair cost.
Maintain Preventive Maintenance Program.
Promote and adhere to all Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
May train other Maintenance Technicians.
Continually search for cost savings.
As needed respond to emergency and scheduled maintenance calls.
Performs work under minimal supervision.
All other duties as assigned for the successful operation of the facility.
