About The Position

Zobele by kdc/one is seeking a Maintenance Utilities Technician for its manufacturing site in Garland, Texas. The role supports critical plant utility systems to help ensure safe, uninterrupted production in a manufacturing environment.

The position works a consistent night-shift schedule on Crew 4: Wednesday from 1:00 AM to 7:00 AM and Thursday through Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The technician operates, inspects, maintains, and troubleshoots utility and facility systems, responds to emergency repairs, documents maintenance activities, and works with operations and engineering to improve reliability, uptime, and energy efficiency. The technician must follow safety, environmental, and company procedures.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently on night shift.
• Clear communication, a team-oriented mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, adaptability, willingness to learn, and self-motivation on night shift.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with boiler operation, HVAC, chillers, or glycol systems.
• Technical certification or trade training in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
• Boiler- or utilities-specific training.
• Oil-free compressed-air experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain plant utility systems to support safe and uninterrupted production.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on boilers and steam systems, HVAC, compressed air systems, chillers, cooling towers, and glycol systems.
• Support facility systems, including electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Respond to emergency repairs and document maintenance activities.
• Partner with operations and engineering to improve reliability, uptime, and energy efficiency.
• Follow safety, environmental, and company procedures.
