About The Position

Maintenance Technicians service and maintain equipment at National Vision’s growing optical manufacturing facility. The role includes preventive maintenance and equipment repairs to help minimize production downtime. Technicians also assist with installations, fabrication, and servicing other equipment and systems in the lab, while following required safety measures, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.

The position is listed for a first-shift schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; maintenance schedules may vary slightly. Pay is based on experience and includes opportunities for additional biweekly bonuses.

Requirements

• No specific education is required.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of previous experience in industrial maintenance, such as electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo drive, or HVAC work.
• Manufacturing experience is desired.
• Optical industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and maintain preventive-maintenance checklists.
• Handle work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production downtime.
• Service and maintain edgers, generators, and blockers.
• Clean equipment, change parts, perform checks, and calibrate equipment.
• Identify issues and perform repairs.
• Assist with installations, fabrication, and servicing other equipment and systems in the lab.
• Follow safety measures and lockout/tagout procedures, and use PPE when required.
