Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1+ years related experience and/or training in mechanical and electrical equipment, or equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience.
  • Welding experience is required.
  • Current Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties.
  • Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PM’s (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
  • Mechanical work experience.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24 hr. operations; occasionally work extended hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis.
  • Good time management skills and ability to work independently and as a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls, VFDs, PLC, Electronic motors (480V).
  • Programming, GUI and or HMI experience is a big plus.
  • Industrial electrical knowledge a PLUS.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems, and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
  • Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
  • Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
  • Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Daily Inspections of machinery for potential problems.
  • From time to time, you may be called in after hours to ensure our MHS (conveyor) systems are working at optimum capacity.
  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
