About The Position

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is hiring a multicraft Maintenance Technician for its Ashland, Ohio manufacturing operation. The role works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and involves maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. Technicians troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; diagnose breakdowns; restore equipment safely and quickly; and perform preventive and predictive maintenance. The position collaborates with production and other maintenance team members. PCA offers paid training and advancement programs to support technical skill development and career growth. The assigned shift is 2nd or 3rd shift. Pay is $29.24–$41.30 per hour based on skills and experience, plus shift differential and overtime premiums.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multicraft skills.
• Ability to work an assigned 2nd- or 3rd-shift schedule.
• Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or a related area.
• Experience in corrugated packaging, printing, converting, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and restore equipment quickly and safely.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
