About The Position

KARM Stores is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple locations in the Knoxville Metro Area. This role is crucial in ensuring our stores are safe, functional, and presentable, directly supporting the life-changing ministry of Knox Area Rescue Ministries. The position offers steady, full-time hours with a Monday-Friday schedule, though occasional evenings or weekends may be required for special projects. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance experience and a commitment to teamwork and serving the community.

Requirements

General maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or similar trades).
Valid driver's license (F endorsement required or ability to obtain, if applicable).
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, computer, and GPS to manage work requests.
Positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a servant's heart with a commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple KARM Stores.
Repair and replace lighting, electrical outlets, plumbing fixtures, doors, and other building components.
Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems, fire safety equipment, and emergency lighting.
Complete painting, light carpentry, flooring, and general facility repairs to keep stores safe and looking their best.
Travel between store locations, purchase supplies, and track maintenance requests and completed work.
