Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Comfortable working physically through various tasks—lifting 80-100 lbs., climbing ladders, and using machinery
  • Highly organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of building maintenance and facility equipment repairs to include but not limited to basic HVAC, plumbing, operating heavy equipment, minor electrical repairs; and the knowledge to maintain building code and operational compliance.
  • A general knowledge of the use of hand and power tools and the ability to understand mechanical systems.
  • Physical ability to work with machinery and basic construction and farming equipment.
  • The position requires sitting, standing, walking, the use of ladders and kneeling for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, bending, leaning, stooping.
  • Physical ability to lift 80-100 lbs. safely and operate various motorized equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Good problem solving and mechanical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • At least three years of experience in facility maintenance, painting, or carpentry
  • Strong background in painting and general repairs preferred

  • Uphold and enhance camp properties
  • Perform minor electrical work

  • Ensure equipment and grounds are in top-notch condition
  • Adhere to safety standards while working on construction projects and repairs
  • Assist with farming and tree harvesting
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
