About The Position
Avery Dennison is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a "Solutions Architect" mindset to diagnose root causes and keep their Performance Tapes facility running at peak performance. This role involves deconstructing complex problems and solving for the future, rather than just patching equipment.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work.
- Proven expertise in Electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting/repair.
- Ability to work independently and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with production teams and explain technical issues clearly.
Nice To Haves
- Associate Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical disciplines, or equivalent.
- AutoCAD proficiency.
- Advanced PLC root-cause diagnostic skills.
Responsibilities
- Use detailed drawings, schematics, and precision tools to locate and fix mechanical failures in pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
- Install and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, including motors, switchboards, automated controls, and circuit breakers.
- Utilize PLCs to identify faults in automated lines and implement corrective measures.
- Follow strict maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and assist engineers in identifying long-term process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant workspace.
- Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
