About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring the operational readiness and safety of multifamily communities. This position involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various building systems, including HVAC, mechanical systems, and structural components. The technician will also be responsible for responding to service requests, maintaining tools and inventory, preparing documentation, and assisting with renovation projects. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding safety standards and company policies.

Requirements

  • Prior multifamily maintenance make-ready and work order experience
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in a trade-specific role
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A valid U.S. Driver's License is required
  • Background check and E-Verify required

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and building structures
  • Participate in on-call for after-hours emergencies.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to service requests efficiently and professionally
  • Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure safety and operational readiness
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies
  • Prepare reports, logs, and service documentation
  • Assist with renovation and construction projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
