About The Position

You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining production equipment, conducting routine and emergency repairs, and performing preventive maintenance. The position involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, reading equipment manuals, and using various tools. You will also be responsible for lubricating equipment, detecting operational issues, fabricating parts, maintaining a clean work area, communicating with the production team, preparing reports, and cross-training as needed. The role also requires promoting a positive company image and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service and maintain production equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on production equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
  • Lubricates all moving parts of equipment in the plant processing circuit. This includes greasing conveyor belt rollers and pulleys, oiling gear drives and bearings, changing oil in conveyor gear boxes and speed reducers, greasing pumps, screens and electrical motors in accordance with lubrication schedules and OEM specifications.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management.
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Communicate with the production team on maintenance related activities.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
  • Cross-train in other positions as needed.
  • Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of the performance of these duties.
