About The Position

The position involves using various tools, lubricating equipment, detecting operational faults, fabricating parts, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Communication with the production team and preparing maintenance reports are also key aspects of the role. This is a full-time position with a 2-2-3 schedule, offering a stable career with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service and maintain production equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on production equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
  • Lubricates all moving parts of equipment in the plant processing circuit. This includes greasing conveyor belt rollers and pulleys, oiling gear drives and bearings, changing oil in conveyor gear boxes and speed reducers, greasing pumps, screens and electrical motors in accordance with lubrication schedules and OEM specifications.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management.
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Communicate with the production team on maintenance related activities.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
  • Cross-train in other positions as needed.
  • Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of the performance of these duties.
