The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining JLL's commitment to operational excellence by ensuring our facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required due to client requirements.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or hands-on maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites or to obtain supplies as needed.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively, along with basic computer applications including MS Office, Slack, and email.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn preventative maintenance procedures and CMMS documentation practices.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as business needs require, including participation in on-call rotation for emergency facility response.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in specific trade areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building systems.
  • Proficiency with commercial door repairs including electrified locks, panic hardware, mortise systems, and automatic/manual sliding doors.
  • Trade school education or military service background with relevant technical training.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS).
  • Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainable building operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine light maintenance activities including filter changes, lighting replacements, site inspections, furniture assembly, and office builds to maintain facility functionality and appearance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using systematic troubleshooting methods and appropriate tools.
  • Execute general building maintenance tasks encompassing interior and exterior carpentry, drywall repair, light electrical work, light plumbing, and painting to preserve building integrity.
  • Assist with HVAC systems maintenance and repairs, supporting the engineering team in keeping climate control systems operational.
  • Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify maintenance needs proactively and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Complete assigned work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and maintain accurate service documentation for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response, maintaining readiness to address critical building system malfunctions, facility emergencies, and urgent maintenance issues outside normal business hours.
