About The Position

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections, upkeep and repair of Grand River Casino & Resort property. The Maintenance Technician performs inspections and maintenance of the building including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and electronic systems, carpentry/construction, painting, etc. and general building repair, cleaning and upkeep. He/she performs upkeep on grounds maintenance, snow removal of sidewalks and parking lot, planter/grass, sprinkler system and signage. The Maintenance Technician maintains and services all casino vehicles. He/she monitors the wastewater lagoons and septic systems at The Bay store, campground and fish cleaning station. He/she assists in the training of new staff members and performs any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Director or Maintenance Lead. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal non-gaming license.
  • Must have 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Must be physically able to withstand continued walking, standing, and kneeling for periods of 8 hours or more.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to reach to higher levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years experience in maintenance preferred.
