We are currently seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our team and support day-to-day operations of residential communications across Ottawa, including downtown, Vanier, and the west end. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem solving, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in keeping our communities safe, attractive, and operating at their best. Through timely maintenance, repairs, and resident support, you will help deliver a positive living experience for residents while fostering welcoming and well-maintained communities.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge and professional experience in a wide variety of residential maintenance and light renovation tasks.
  • General understanding of residential building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and heating systems.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Must have valid, class G driver’s license, access to personal vehicle, and clean drivers abstract.
  • Must have tools necessary to complete basic maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.
  • Participation in an after-hours rotational response team may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in performing basic appliance and fixture repairs is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Performing general maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, suites, and common areas.
  • Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
  • Assist with seasonal property operations, including snow removal.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff, management, and external vendors as required.
  • Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and report safety hazards to management.
