About The Position

Sigma, Inc. is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for one of our clients, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Athens, GA. This 12-month contract role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals to support equipment reliability, utilities maintenance, and system performance in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Associate’s or Technical Degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing (pharma preferred).
• Hands-on experience in plant utilities and maintenance systems.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, steam systems, and compressed air systems.
• Experience with centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and chilled water systems.
• Familiarity with RO/DI systems, HPW, and clean steam systems.
• Working knowledge of generators and electrical systems.
• Understanding of HVAC and cleanroom systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of EHS standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and utility systems.
• Ensure optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment and systems.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Maintain and support systems including clean utilities, HVAC, and cleanroom environments.
• Work on power plant utilities and high purity water (HPW) systems.
• Support continuous operation of critical manufacturing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and maintain boilers, steam systems, and compressed air systems.
• Operate and maintain chillers, cooling towers, and process chilled water systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of RO/DI, clean steam, generators, and electrical systems.
• Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and company policies.
• Follow GMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and logs.
• Identify equipment issues and recommend improvements.
• Support initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
