About The Position

Mallard Manufacturing, a MacLean-Fogg Company, is hiring a Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift in Sterling, IL. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve electrical equipment and industrial control systems that support safe, reliable manufacturing operations.

Requirements

High school education.
Typically 2+ years of experience in a technical role with solid working knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Ability to perform assigned work with occasional supervision and oversight.
Experience using hand tools and interpreting electrical diagrams.
Proficiency in equipment maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Ability to perform calibration and numerical control tasks and maintain accurate process documentation.
Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to interpret work instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

Provide moderately complex technical support for electrical and engineering challenges in the manufacturing environment, including support during construction activities.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, skilled repairs, installation, and upgrades on manufacturing equipment and industrial control systems.
Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes using hand tools and measuring instruments.
Collaborate with engineers to identify and solve development problems, analyze test information, and resolve design-related issues.
Create or modify diagrams and prepare engineering specifications for experimental electronics.
Assist with the design, evaluation, and repair of electrical equipment while completing required documentation accurately.
Perform equipment maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, calibration, and numerical control tasks to support equipment functionality and reliability.
Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
