The Maintenance Technician will use electrical and/or mechanical skills to resolve breakdown issues with minimal impact to production. This role involves carrying out regular maintenance, process improvements, and project activities to ensure equipment breakdown delay is minimized and process capability is maximized to achieve production and quality performance targets. The technician will complete all planned maintenance activities within the specified time frame of the PM schedule, be proactive in personal development in technical skills and knowledge, and ensure work is carried out accurately and to a high standard. Effective decision-making regarding repair costs and finding better, more efficient ways of repairing and maintaining machinery are key. The role requires adherence to the PACE program and communication with the operations group to develop a team approach to maintaining assets. Use of the MVP computerized maintenance management system for work orders, parts checkout, and task completion is essential. The technician is responsible for communicating completed work orders with relevant information and entering work orders for newly discovered repair items. Additionally, the role involves completing observational cards or other site-specific tools to shape health and safety behavior, with two stops cards per month to be handed to the HSE Manager.
