Requirements

  • Ability to work alone and with others
  • Capability of learning use of standard measuring equipment as required by job duties
  • Basic computer skills and good communication skills
  • Completed Paligen Technologies training requirements for electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and PLC troubleshooting
  • Knowledge in the Relay Ladder Diagram logic as applied to panel wiring and trouble shooting
  • Ability to recognize safety hazards as applied to the handling of medium to high voltage power systems
  • Knowledge in industrial hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic schematics and blueprints
  • Ability to identify a problem, either mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical
  • Basic knowledge on thermal control systems, such as the flame monitoring, and temperature control systems
  • Knowledge in VFD, Soft starts, etc.
  • High school education or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledgeable in National Electric code and other NFPA regulations
  • Industrial and commercial power systems (both in trouble shooting and installation aspects)
  • Texas Driver’s License
  • Background Investigation / Drug Screen / US Person: Required

Nice To Haves

  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience in industrial maintenance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as required on hydraulic presses, ovens and all other equipment
  • Follow simple work instructions and work in multiple areas as required
  • Use small hand tools and operate a forklift when required
  • Learn the use of all gages, special tools and instruments required to related job tasks
  • Work under general supervision with instruction given for routine work and detailed instruction given for new lines of work or special assignments
  • Meet all safety requirements as defined by the JHAs
  • Identify electrical and control wire color coding
  • Perform preventive maintenance and identify future problems
  • Perform maintenance tasks in all areas of the plant (i.e. confined spaces, elevated areas, etc.)
  • Fabricate metal parts by use of torch cutting and welding
  • Perform repairs and operations to equipment
  • Understand and apply lubrication applications and specifications
  • Troubleshoot mechanical machinery and devices
