About The Position

Bavarian Inn Restaurant is hiring a Refrigeration Focused Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day repairs and preventive maintenance across their busy 90,000 square foot property. This role is ideal for someone who specializes in refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-ins, ice machines) while also being mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and confident assisting with a variety of other systems like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and kitchen equipment. The position involves hands-on work across multiple systems and departments, often in time-sensitive or high-pressure situations. Tasks include routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and proactive troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and welding & fabrication.

Requirements

5+ years of facility, industrial, or commercial refrigeration maintenance experience.
EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment.
General working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Ability to weld and fabricate basic components a plus.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Friendly and optimistic demeanor with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Must be available for rotating shifts including weekends, and holidays.

Commercial kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Handle day-to-day repairs and preventive maintenance across a large property.
Troubleshoot and maintain walk-ins, reach-ins, and freezer units.
Assist with a variety of other systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and kitchen equipment.
Identify issues quickly, execute effective repairs, and maintain a calm, solution-focused approach.
Perform routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and proactive troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and welding & fabrication.
