About The Position

Foremost Farms is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians and Electro-Mechanical Technicians to support the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production equipment and facility systems. These roles play a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring safe, high-quality operations. Candidates may be considered for a Maintenance Technician I, II, or III or Electro-Mechanical Technician role based on experience and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical background including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, and welding/fabrication.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or related technical field required.
  • Strong experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and automation
  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, VFDs, and instrumentation

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, power transmission systems, and industrial equipment
  • Install, align, dismantle, and relocate machinery and equipment
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and basic carpentry to support operations
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Utilize CMMS to document work and manage parts inventory
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and control panels
  • Install and maintain AC/DC motors, VFDs, and motion control equipment
  • Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Perform electrical installations and major system repairs
  • Support automation, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with engineering and production on complex system issues
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance
  • Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash standards
  • Maintain accurate records in CMMS and complete work orders
  • Support inventory control and parts ordering
  • Communicate equipment status and maintenance updates
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Support and mentor team members as needed
