About The Position

Safran Aircraft Engines designs, produces, and sells commercial and military aircraft engines. Safran Aerospace Composites in Rochester, NH is dedicated to the production of 3D woven composite parts using the RTM process. This technology is used for blades and fan cases for the LEAP engine, which reduces noise and fuel consumption. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer background to be able to assist OEMs in online machine diagnostics.
  • Capable machining skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CNC machine maintenance and alignment preferred
  • Industrial lift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency and routine repairs and preventive maintenance of a, generally, mechanical nature to maintain manufacturing and facility equipment and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Install and modify process equipment to engineering specifications.
  • Perform diagnostics, project work, and other improvement activities in coordination with stakeholders on other teams (Production, Engineering, Quality, etc.).
  • Comply and maintain certifications, where applicable, with all regulations (OSHA, NFPA), industry standards, engineering specifications, and company policies/procedures.
  • Perform mechanical-related repairs including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Fabricate metal pieces, parts, and structures using cutting equipment, welding equipment, and machine tools-with or without prints.
  • Use calibration equipment to validate tool and machine conformance to standards.
  • Apply working knowledge of controls systems to troubleshoot minor machine issues, reset or change machine parameters, and manipulate robots with teach pendants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
