Requirements

  • A high school diploma and at least five (5+) years of relative experience and two (2) years’ experience in a leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to operate machinery, equipment, small power tools, and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to maintenance team; assign and prioritize workloads.
  • Coordinate and adjust schedules to meet operational needs across multiple properties.
  • Train and onboard employees on procedures, equipment, safety standards, and company expectations.
  • Monitor work quality and ensure consistent adherence to cleaning and facility standards.
  • Coach employees on performance and communicate updates, concerns, and achievements to management.
  • Maintain inventory levels; order, receive, track, and distribute supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, storage, safety standards, and repair of equipment.
  • Enter data into software applications logging time and materials.
  • Assists in maintaining all electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems in the building in coordination with the maintenance person.
  • Performs painting and structural repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings of buildings.
  • Assists with ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse.
  • Performs monthly changing, inspecting and log chart on all emergency exit signs, HVAC filters and fire extinguishers.
  • Assists other departments as requested, including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
  • Support special projects, events, and departmental needs; provide coverage during staffing shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals and waste.
