About The Position

We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician Lead to work in our Tiarco plant who be responsible for providing technical leadership and daily direction to maintenance personnel while ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position serves as the primary point of contact for maintenance activities during assigned shifts, coordinating work assignments, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, installation, and pipe fitting, including cutting and threading.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in using job-related terminology, symbols, and abbreviations accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Solid foundational skills in math and computer operations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Basic knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and plumbing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair advanced mechanical systems, basic electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with steam system and components.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
  • Proficient in the proper use of hand and power tools, including multimeters, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Capable of testing wiring insulation, performing Ohm measurements, and troubleshooting motor performance.
  • Solid understanding of electrical and pneumatic switches and controls.
  • Previous experience with MaintainX software.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC.
  • Proficient in three-phase electrical wiring.
  • Knowledge of maintaining and ensuring proper use of safety guards.
  • Familiarity with safe work practices, including hot-work, lockout/-tag-out, line break, and confined space entry permits.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiarity with the breakdown and rebuilding of various types of pumps, including lobe, gear, diaphragm, mag-drive, and impeller pumps.
  • Basic welding knowledge and ability.
  • Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • High School Diploma, required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, required.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting experience with: Industrial electrical systems, motors and motor controls, PLC controlled equipment, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical power transmission equipment, required.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field, preferred.
  • Prior experience in a maintenance lead, supervisory, or coordinator role, preferred.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Click PLC, Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar), preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication skills, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pass a fitness for duty test, drug screen and submit to a TB test on a post offer employment physical.
  • Observe all company policies, rules, procedures, regulations and perform all duties assigned by management in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities and technician assignments.
  • Prioritize and schedule corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and responding to maintenance requests.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to maintenance technicians.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to effectively plan maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and identify critical replacement components.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Assist with employee training and onboarding of new maintenance personnel.
  • Work in a safe manner following all plant safety procedures.
  • Strictly follow confined space entry, PPE and lockout-tagout procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping in work area.
  • Performs other related duties as as necessary or assigned.
