About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician III, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining equipment. You will support and enable preventative maintenance at the plant by contributing technical input to planning, reliability, and follow-up work. You are expected to learn advanced maintenance skills and complete related tasks as needed. You will lead maintenance projects and train other technicians. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effectively use computer applications
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in advanced-level technical competencies, for example, PLCs, VFDs, and systems troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to problem solve
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP
  • Working knowledge of maintenance processes, CMMS, equipment documentation, predictive maintenance concepts, root cause analysis, and ability to identify resources needed for maintenance work.

  • CMRT certification
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
  • Other maintenance-related certifications
  • Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks per work orders assigned
  • Understand how to work safely and speak up when you do not
  • Continue to learn new skills and grow in your maintenance expertise
  • Train other Maintenance and Reliability Technicians
  • Provide technical input on job plans, preventive maintenance tasks, equipment history, and follow-up work identified through troubleshooting or inspections
  • Use the computerized maintenance management system to review, update, complete, and document work orders accurately
  • Responsibility to identify parts, materials, tools, safety considerations, and labor needs required to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently
  • Communicate critical parts needs, obsolete parts, recurring parts issues, and inventory concerns to the planner or supervisor
  • Partner effectively with operations, maintenance planning, reliability, purchasing, contractors, and other technicians
