About The Position

The Maintenance Technician III for Alloy Surfaces Company (ASC) is responsible for performing advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure. This role troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems, performs equipment modifications and upgrades, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Technician III serves as a technical resource to other maintenance personnel and supports safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations for ASC.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment and participating in process improvement initiatives
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash compliance procedures
  • Experience with advanced electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to perform duties in various physical environments and conditions (e.g., indoors, outdoors, hot/cold areas, heights, confined spaces)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
  • Ability to safely operate machinery (forklifts, lifts, etc.)
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and general industrial safety practices
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency maintenance situations, as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work from high lifts, and accomplish lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing in excess of 30 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves standing and walking most of the time, may involve sitting for brief periods. Use of computer.

  • Trade school or apprenticeship certification preferred
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 environment preferred
  • Experience performing HVAC maintenance, including belt and filter replacement preferred
  • Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive and complete work orders through the Maintenance Management System (CMMS), identifying equipment issues and obtaining the parts and materials needed to perform repairs
  • Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, tooling, and infrastructure as assigned
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain complex and critical mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and basic plumbing systems and equipment
  • Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repair needs to minimize production downtime
  • Install, fabricate, modify, repair and maintain production equipment, tooling, facility systems, and related mechanical and electrical components, including mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to perform maintenance and repair activities
  • Inspect, test, adjust, and replace components to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history within the CMMS
  • Inspect and maintain facility safety systems, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and other life safety equipment, ensuring inspections remain current
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition and ensure tools are stored securely and appropriately
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal departments as needed, including escorting visitors in accordance with facility security procedures
  • Support facility Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs and comply with OSHA, company, and regulatory safety requirements
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability initiatives as assigned
  • Provide technical training, guidance, and support to other Maintenance Technicians as needed
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
