About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III for a full-time, first-shift opportunity in Bloomingdale, Illinois. This is a senior-level, hands-on industrial maintenance position supporting metal fabrication and CNC production equipment. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC laser cutting systems, CNC turret/punch presses, press brakes, and combination laser/punch machines, along with strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting capabilities. The Maintenance Technician III serves as a senior technical resource on the production floor, independently diagnosing complex equipment failures, performing emergency repairs, supporting preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and helping minimize manufacturing downtime through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement. This position also supports equipment installation, commissioning, and optimization while working with electrical schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, basic PLC logic, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance tracking systems.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ Years of Industrial Maintenance Experience in a Manufacturing Environment REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Technical Degree in a Related Field Preferred
  • Experience with leading fabrication equipment manufacturers such as TRUMPF, Amada, Toyokoki, or Diamond is particularly valuable.
  • Relevant vocational/technical training, manufacturer training, military mechanical/electrical training, certifications, or extensive directly related hands-on maintenance experience may also provide an appropriate technical background.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC laser cutting systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC turret/punch press equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair press brakes
  • Troubleshoot and repair combination laser/punch machines
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment failures
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Perform emergency and breakdown repairs on production equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Support and lead preventive and predictive maintenance activities
  • Perform root-cause analysis on equipment failures
  • Identify recurring failures and support corrective actions
  • Minimize equipment downtime and improve production reliability
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documentation
  • Read and interpret basic PLC logic during equipment troubleshooting
  • Use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
  • Use hand tools and power tools for equipment repair
  • Support installation of metal fabrication equipment
  • Support equipment commissioning and startup
  • Assist with equipment optimization and reliability improvements
  • Enter and track maintenance activities through CMMS or maintenance tracking systems
  • Document completed repairs and maintenance activities
  • Prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Serve as a senior technical resource to production and maintenance personnel
