About The Position

Simpson Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for SkyHouse River Oaks, a premier class A 352-unit high-rise community located in the River Oaks District between Downtown and Uptown in Houston, TX. This role is a key member of the property maintenance team, responsible for maintaining and preserving a multi-million dollar luxury community to ensure a quality living experience for residents. The position involves troubleshooting and resolving issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sewer/water, swimming pools, and security systems. The technician will also develop rapport with residents, assist them with general maintenance issues, prepare vacant apartment units for leasing, and help maintain the property's curb appeal.

Requirements

• 1+ years of related general maintenance experience
• General knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair and basic carpentry
• CPO certification required (can be obtained after hire)
• Fair housing training required
• Some experience with MS Office Suite (Word and Outlook)
• Strong customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• CAMT (Apartment Maintenance) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and preserving a multi-million dollar luxury community ensuring a quality living experience for our residents
• Utilizing troubleshooting and technical skills to identify and resolve issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sewer/water, swimming pools and security systems
• Developing a strong rapport with residents and assisting them with resolving various general maintenance issues (appliances, flooring, cabinets, locks, drywall, etc.) in a timely manner
• Working closely with the service team to prepare vacant apartment units ensuring they are ready to lease to prospective residents per company specifications
• Helping the service team maintain a strong curb appeal at the property
