About The Position

This position will demonstrate the skills needed to inspect, diagnose, and solve problems with machines or building operations; perform basic repairs and implement preventative measures to ensure equipment longevity and functionality.

Requirements

  • Three years of general building maintenance experience.
  • Must have High School diploma or GED.
  • Course work, training and demonstrated competency in at least three of these building trades: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Framing and Carpentry, CMMS systems, Building Automation Systems, Drywall replace, patch and repair, Interior and Exterior Painting, Flooring, Window Operations and Repair, Doors to include fire, smoke, and control, Locking Mechanisms to include Electronic Access Control, Mechanical Systems (Medical gases, vacuums…)
  • Familiarity with tools
  • Successful completion of Maintenance Technician II Competency Check Sheet within (90) days of hire
  • The ability to identify the root cause of problems, diagnose malfunctions, and develop effective solutions.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks like lubricating, cleaning adjusting and replacing parts.
  • Implementing strategies to prevent failures by performing scheduled maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Understanding and adhering to safety protocols and regulations when working with equipment, machinery, and tools.
  • Effectively communicating with colleagues, supervisors, and customers about maintenance issues and tasks.
  • Analyzing situations, identifying issues, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.

  • Occasionally within shift (1-33%): Sitting, Climbing, Twist at waist, Lift/Carry greater than 50 lbs. with assistance, Reaching above shoulder.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Hospital experience a plus
  • Course work or other appropriate trades training is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and vision of the organization.

  • Performs necessary general building maintenance repairs and services based on the core competencies of the position
  • Perform inspection and maintenance of building and equipment
  • May assist in stocking, unloading and delivery of supplies
  • Assist with maintaining security of property.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

  • Completes annual educational requirements.

  • All technicians are required to provide your own hand tools; power tools will be made available by the facility; must be available for on call as needed; have reliable transportation and must be able to respond to the facility in (1) hour or less.
