About The Position
PDS Optical is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that manufactures a large number of eyeglasses daily. We have Optical Laboratories in Louisville, KY and Fort Lauderdale, FL and manage many optical stores across the US and Puerto Rico. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Technician II to join our team. This role is vital for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our optical lab by performing routine, preventative, and predictive day-to-day maintenance on optical equipment and the facility. The maintenance technician supports the production of high-quality glasses and contributes to our overall success and commitment to excellence.
Requirements
- Technical and maintenance experience
- Ability to read both electrical and numerical schematics in Machine Manuals
Nice To Haves
- Optical experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Repair and Perform Preventative Maintenance on all lab machinery in production
- Perform or schedule with outside contractors all other building maintenance as needed
- Responsible for completing all maintenance service requests as assigned
