About The Position
This position is assigned to Parks Operations. The Maintenance Technician II performs labor-intensive tasks. Performs routine general and preventative maintenance to City of Conroe parks grounds, equipment, facilities and infrastructure on a daily basis.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with three to five years minimum experience.
- Possession of a valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or higher, or ability to obtain within six months.
- Must possess First Aid and CPR certifications or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of parks and recreation facilities maintenance and repair or related services.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of safe work habits.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles.
- Skill in operating a variety of tools, equipment, vehicles and trailers.
- Skill in analyzing problems and developing effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently or cohesively as part of a team.
- Ability to understand and follow the City of Conroe and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.
