About The Position

The Maintenance Technician provides a variety of standard and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of grounds and facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion, as well as performing maintenance and repair functions of the center as determined by the maintenance director/supervisor.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service to tenants.
Respond to work orders in a timely manner.
Maintain excellent documentation/communication regarding the status of work orders.
Maintain building and grounds to be clean, safe, and ensure repairs are completed in a professional manner.
Work closely with and follow directions from the maintenance director/supervisor.
Take care of tools and equipment; reporting any tools found to be unsafe or broken immediately to the director/supervisor.
Perform all tasks generated by the work order system and document all work performed as required.
Remain on call, once every six weeks, for 24 hours a day during the call period.
Renovate apartments and ensure work is completed on time.
Be available for snow removal and be on site during snowstorms or any other seasonal, weather-related emergency situation.
Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Perform other duties as assigned.
