As a Maintenance Tech II, your job duties will include, but may not be limited to: Performance of preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Respond to and provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag out procedures and wearing PPE as required. Prepare/complete assigned tasks in conformance with applicable procedure requirements provided by the supervisor. Perform reparative maintenance on production equipment. Assist with electrical installations and repairs. This is a unique role that will require work hours that vary from a typical schedule. There will be times when the successful candidate will be required to support activities and installations during weekends, holidays, and plant shutdowns.

Requirements

  • 2 years minimum of cumulative experience performing industrial maintenance, corrective, preventive, and testing in a manufacturing facility AND/OR relevant industry certification.
  • Prior experience within a Caterpillar Facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment diagrams.
  • Safe and effective use of common maintenance tools (carpentry, plumbing, assembly, etc.).
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and installation of manufacturing machine components.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS.
  • Understanding of and experience using electrical tools, materials and safety practices.
