About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring production lines and other equipment are maintained and operational at all times. This role involves assisting in the development and prioritization of work orders, completing assigned work orders, and supporting workplace organization and production efficiency programs. The technician will also coach and train operators on preventative maintenance checks, support the preventative maintenance process, and contribute to line commissioning and other plant projects. The role requires operating in a manner that provides value to the team and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 0 plus years of experience in role of Maintenance Tech I
  • Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
  • Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong decision making, analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Success in planning, executing and managing projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Stick and wire welding experience required
  • Forklift experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
  • Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
  • Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus
  • Structural welding certification, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
  • Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
  • Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
  • Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
  • Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
  • Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
  • Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
  • Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
  • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
